Maintenance Tech

We are looking for someone to help with general maintenance of equipment and troubleshooting (fixing / repair / maintain) equipment and general repairs at our coffeehouses. Basically, an all around fix-it person who enjoys understanding how things work and likes to solve problems. The job includes:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as well as emergency on-site technical support for customers

  • Comfortable with electrical, plumbing and mechanical aspects of machine installation, operation, and repair
    • Repair and maintenance of equipment such as coffee brewers and grinders, water filtration systems, espresso Machines etc.
    • Provide superior customer service and maintaining professional appearance, positive attitude and excellent communication
    • May need to travel to several locations throughout the day and work independently.
    • Valid Driver’s License and ability to safely operate company vehicle when necessary
    • Self-starter and able to manage responsibilities efficiently without micro-managing

  • Able to coordinate with 3rd party maintenance companies when necessary (such as plumbers, electricians etc.)

    Requirements:

  • You have previous facilities / equipment maintenance experience

  • Ability to justify cost/benefit on maintenance vs replacement

  • You must be highly organized

  • Excellent problem solving and analysis skills

  • Ability to train persons in order to avoid common errors / issues

  • excellent communication and listening skills with coworkers & managers

  • consistent attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization

  • ability to self direct

Notes

  • This is a part-time position and should generally be available weekends (that’s usually when things go awry!). this is a great part-time job for someone semi-retired or for someone looking for a semi-flexible second job.
